• South Waziristan is a mountainous region of Northwestern Pakistan bordering Afghanistan, covering an area of 6,620 square kilometres with an estimated population of 430,000 (FATA Research Centre). Waziristan is divided into two agencies (South and North) for administrative purposes. Each photograph is a location of an RPA strike in South Waziristan. The images come with a set of statistical information in agreement with Chris Woods, who worked at The Bureau of Investigative Journalism (TBIJ) at the time. All information attached to each image was deemed to be factual as of 2012.
